Grief Support
Tu Nidito offers support groups for children ages 3 1/2 to 18 who are grieving the death of a loved one, young adults ages 18-29 who are grieving the death of a loved one, and parents who are grieving the death of a child ages birth to 18 due to a serious medical condition. We provide a safe place where to share loss experiences in a caring, supportive environment.
Children with serious medical conditions
Tu Nidito offers individual and group support for children diagnosed with a serious medical condition. While the diagnosed child is our primary client, we understand that illness impacts the entire family and provide support for parents, caregivers and siblings as well. Families may enroll in all three programs or choose a level of care based on their needs.
Children who have a parent with cancer or other serious medical condition
Tu Nidito offers ongoing support groups for children and teenagers who have a parent diagnosed with cancer or other serious medical condition. We provide a safe place where children, teens and parents can share their experiences in a caring, supportive environment.
Young Adults
Tu Nidito offers a grief support program specifically designed for young adults ages 18-29. The group meets twice a month at a satellite location near the University of Arizona campus and is facilitated by a trained staff member and volunteer. The group provides young adults with a safe and supportive place where they can grieve the death of a loved one and meet others experiencing similar circumstances and issues. Groups meet the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the U of A Campus Christian Center, 715 N. Park Avenue (just south of University Blvd).
